Why Custom Orthotics?
Custom foot orthotics, also known as orthotic insoles or inserts, are specialized shoe inserts designed to provide support and alignment for the feet, ankles, and lower limbs.
These orthotics are tailored to fit the unique contours of an individual's feet, providing numerous benefits:
Improved Foot Alignment: Custom foot orthotics are crafted to address specific biomechanical issues such as overpronation (foot rolling inward), supination (foot rolling outward), flat feet, or high arches. By correcting these alignment issues, orthotics can help alleviate pain and discomfort associated with conditions like plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendonitis, and bunions.
Reduced Pain and Discomfort: By providing proper support and cushioning, custom foot orthotics can reduce strain on the feet, ankles, knees, hips, and lower back. This can alleviate pain and discomfort caused by conditions such as heel pain, arch pain, and joint pain.
Enhanced Shock Absorption: Orthotics can absorb shock and distribute pressure more evenly across the foot, reducing the impact of walking, running, or standing on hard surfaces. This can help prevent injuries such as stress fractures and shin splints.
Improved Athletic Performance: Custom foot orthotics can enhance athletic performance by promoting better biomechanics, improving balance and stability, and reducing fatigue during physical activities. Athletes may experience improved endurance, speed, and agility with the support provided by orthotics.
Prevention of Foot Deformities: Custom foot orthotics can help prevent the progression of foot deformities such as bunions and hammertoes by providing proper support and alignment. They can also prevent the development of conditions such as flat feet in children by promoting healthy foot mechanics.
Customized Fit and Comfort: Unlike over-the-counter shoe inserts, custom foot orthotics are individually crafted based on a detailed assessment of the individual's foot structure, gait pattern, and specific needs. This ensures a precise fit and maximum comfort, reducing the risk of rubbing, irritation, and blisters.
Long-Term Support: Custom foot orthotics are durable and long-lasting, providing ongoing support and protection for the feet over an extended period. With proper care and maintenance, they can provide consistent benefits for years, making them a worthwhile investment in foot health and overall well-being.
Custom foot orthotics offer a wide range of benefits, including improved foot alignment, reduced pain and discomfort, enhanced shock absorption, improved athletic performance, prevention of foot deformities, customized fit and comfort, and long-term support. Whether for everyday use or athletic activities, custom orthotics can significantly improve foot health and quality of life for individuals of all ages.

Instructions for New Orthotics
Break in instructions are as follows: gradually increase the amount you are using the orthotic by one hour each day, until you can comfortably wear them all day.
Orthotics may take some getting used to. It is not uncommon for it to take 2 weeks or more to adjust to your new level of support.
The orthotics are labeled on the bottom either Left or Right.
Relief may not happen overnight. If you have been in pain for a long period of time, or have not used orthotics in the past, be patient as your body adjusts.
Slight modifications may be necessary for optimum comfort. This is not unusual and is typically an easy fix that can be done in the office
Squeaking Tips: If there is any squeak with the orthotic, try placing some talcum powder between the shoe and the bottom of the orthotic. Some patients have also had success with use of a dryer sheet.
Be sure to remove any other insoles that may already be in the shoe. If it stays in, this may over correct or add excess bulk.
